Steve N. Siegel, JD is an experienced environmental lawyer involved primarily in Superfund litigation. His more than 10 years of Superfund experience includes representing Fortune 50 Companies at Superfund sites throughout the U.S. Of particular note, he managed the trial preparation for common counsel involved in a three-week Superfund trial in a federal district court in Tennessee. Mr. Siegel also managed discovery and settlement negotiations for common counsel at the Valleycrest Landfill Superfund Site in Dayton where the Valleycrest Landfill PRP Group initiated a cost recovery action against more than 110 PRPs. Settlement negotiations were successful with every viable party. Presently, Mr. Siegel is representing clients in several ongoing Superfund sites around the country, including sites in Illinois, South Carolina, New Jersey, Oregon, California, Ohio, and New York.

Mr. Siegel also has extensive experience representing clients in environmental, health & safety enforcement defense, administrative and compliance-related matters. These have included enforcement actions alleging violations of air pollution control, hazardous waste, Clean Water Act, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration citations. He has successfully negotiated settlements with various state and federal agencies saving his clients substantial penalties.

Mr. Siegel has also conducted environmental compliance activities, including environmental compliance audits, in many areas of the United States and Puerto Rico, and continues to advise his clients about compliance-related issues.

Finally, capitalizing on his Superfund experiences, Mr. Siegel's practice also includes oversight responsibility for the cleanup of former industrial sites through EPA's Voluntary Action Program and various state Brownfields programs.

Mr. Siegel earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Denison University in 1972 and his Juris Doctor with Honors from Capital University Law School in 1997. He is admitted to practice in the State of Ohio and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. Steve is a member of the American Bar Association, Section on Natural Resources and the Environment, the Ohio State Bar Association, the Cincinnati Bar Association, Environmental Law Committee and the Federal Bar Association.
