Ted's EHS practice is unique in the legal arena. He has assimilated years of technical knowledge and experience as an environmental engineer and safety professional to enhance his EHS law and technical practice. His technical and legal experience adds value to his practice as a multi-media compliance auditor as well as in his environmental law practice areas, which include compliance counseling, due diligence activities, administrative practice pertaining to EPA and OSHA citations/notices of violation, negotiation of EPA Findings and Orders/Consent Orders, and permit negotiations, toxic tort litigation and superfund practice.

Ted has audited and counseled for a wide variety of facilities in the United States and internationally, including automobile assembly and parts manufacturing, battery production, foundries, stamping facilities, wire assembly, utilities, metal finishing and electroplating, electrical component, paper coating, can coating, printing, health and beauty care, pharmaceutical, research and development, pulp and paper, chemical manufacturing, food and beverage, and other heavy manufacturing industries, as well as a variety of waste treatment, recycling and disposal facilities. Ted has been responsible for a broad array of corporate and industrial plant environmental and safety compliance programs including air and water pollution permitting, emissions monitoring and testing, hazardous waste management, underground storage tank installation, closure and corrective action, industrial ventilation design and installation, wastewater treatment plant operations, waste minimization studies, noise control design and installation, noise monitoring, compliance auditing, emergency response and contingency plan preparation, employee training and regulatory reporting.

Ted earned his Bachelor of Arts from Thomas More College in 1980, his Master of Science in Environmental Engineering from Purdue University in 1983, and a Juris Doctor from the Salmon P. Chase College of Law in 1992. He is admitted to practice in the State of Ohio, the Commonwealth of Kentucky, and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. Ted is a member of the Ohio and Kentucky Bar Associations, the Cincinnati Bar Association and its Environmental Law Committee, and he served as Chairman of the Environmental Law Section of the National Lawyers Association from 1994-1997.
