Adam is a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager with over 14 years of experience in environmental compliance, management, and auditing.

Adam has ensured environmental compliance across all media in at least 12 different manufacturing facilities or campuses.  His projects include SPCC planning, storm water pollution prevention planning, NPDES permitting, hazard communication, hazardous waste operations and emergency response, asbestos surveys and removal, air pollution control system troubleshooting, mercury remediation, PCB sludge remediation, air emission inventories, EPCRA notifications and reporting, and hazardous waste management and reporting.  He has also designed, implemented, and maintained ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems for various facilities.

His recent diverse experience derives from auditing or consulting for clients in many of the United States, and internationally in Egypt, Mexico, Poland, and Venezuela.

His recent major projects include Title V and PSD air permit development and negotiations for iron foundries, preparing facilities for major and area source NESHAP requirements, co-authoring a guide of best practices for beneficial use of foundry sand, initiating and spearheading energy reduction efforts, and developing national industry-level greenhouse gas inventory data.  Adam has spoken at many national and regional conferences, and is recognized as an effective liaison between business and their regulatory agencies.

Adam earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Chemistry from GMI/Kettering University in 2000, and a Master's Degree in Environmental Science and Management from Duquesne University in 2003.  Adam was invited to testify before the U.S. House of Representatives American Energy Solutions Group in 2009 concerning greenhouse gas legislation and industry, and was awarded the American Foundry Society's award for most outstanding new member in Environmental, Health, & Safety.
