Daffin v. Ford Motor Company - Murdock Goldenberg Schneider & Groh and its co-counsel successfully certified an Ohio statewide class on behalf of all Ohio Purchasers or Lessors of 1999 and 2000 model year Mercury Villager Minivans. The United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit upheld the class certification. This lawsuit claims that thousands of 1999 and 2000 Mercury Villagers develop significant levels of carbon deposits in the throttle body system causing the accelerator pedal to stick, resulting in a potential safety hazard. This case was recently settled on a class wide basis.
