In re Guidant Defibrillator Litigation - Goldenberg Schneider & Groh participated in the litigation against Guidant which recalled 50,000 of its implantable defibrillators, 38,000 of which are in use in the United States. Some defibrillators had short-circuit problems which caused them to fail and not work as intended. The parties resolved this litigation in a multi-million dollar settlement.
