Veterans Administration Privacy Act Litigation - Goldenberg Schneider & Groh filed the first nationwide class action on behalf of hundreds of thousands of veterans and current members of the military who were impacted by the August 2006 theft of personal data under the Federal Privacy Act. The stolen data included sensitive personal information such as social security numbers and dates of birth. Additional cases were filed across the country, all of which have been consolidated through the multi district litigation process before the Federal District Court in the District of Columbia. Goldenberg Schneider & Groh was appointed Co-Lead Counsel, and the recent settlement which would result in millions of dollars going to The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund and The Fisher House Foundation has received final approval from the District Court.
